The Blackjack Plant is fully permitted and is the only plant in the immediate region with the capacity to custom mill smaller parcels of high-grade ore.
The Plant is ideally located, within 8 kms of Charters Towers with easy access to all major infrastructure including road links, rail, airport, grid electricity, water, housing and a ready workforce.
Currently on care and maintenance, the Company will restart the mill as soon as possible upon securing satisfactory toll milling contracts.
Within 100km of the Blackjack mill there are 148 granted gold mining leases that do not own a mill and are currently too small to support the capex associated with building a plant.
The plant is expandable with limited capital investment and AMD will begin processing its own ore after establishing JORC reserves on the first targeted open pits, being Blackjack, Far Fanning and Hadleigh Castle.
