Sudest Island

The Sudest Island Gold Project comprises one EL that covers approximately 300 km2 of Sudest Island, including historic small-scale hard rock and alluvial mining areas. Historically approximately 15,000 ounces gold has been produced. The island is located 100km SE of the Misima Deposit, which historically produced approximately 3.7 million ounces of gold and 18 million ounces of silver.

Very little modern exploration has been applied to Sudest Island and it has never been drilled, despite being the location that Australian prospectors first discovered gold in PNG in the late 1800’s.
